Business Development Associate

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

Description:

The Business Development Associate is responsible to utilize proactive relationship-building skills to find, reach and nurture appropriate, prospective business at all stages of sales cycle from lead generation to close. The Business Development Associate will research potential new clients, conduct outbound cold calls, leverage marketing tools and messaging to engage new clients, determine client needs, present recommendations for solutions with and without the help of team members, write effective proposals, present solutions in person or via phone/webcast, and incrementally escalate prospects along sales cycle until close/contract. In addition, it is critical that this individual possess the skills necessary to participate in the professional community by attending and being active in local and regional networking events and participating in blogs, articles, press opportunities, speaking engagements, tradeshows and other opportunities identified or approved through the marketing team. The Business Development Associate will ultimately work with the internal creative team, development team, and strategy team establishing possible short-term and long-term solutions for the client. This position relies heavily on the understanding of fundamental marketing concepts and the general knowledge of how digital solutions can address business challenges and uncover significant business opportunities.

We are looking for someone who understands the balance of work and play, has a good sense of humor and enjoys a laid back, casual dress environment that often times includes some seriously competitive Rock Band tournaments and pool games.

The right candidate must prove, during the interview process, that he/she understands the requirements of this position by putting it to practice and "pitching" to us why he/she is the right candidate! Creativity is a major plus so long as it's on target.

This position will be responsible for:

  • Ability to effectively write on-going prospect communications including e-mails, letters and sales presentations.
  • Cold calling into targeted accounts.
  • Utilizing tools such as email, social media, voice-mail, references, etc, to research, identify and penetrate new business opportunities within targeted accounts and business sectors.
  • Preparing a plan to engage potential clients.
  • Performing sales presentations to clients.
  • Writing proposals, responding to RFPs & RFIs.
  • Working with Account Executives to transition accounts after proposal is accepted by the client.
  • Handling project escalation issues from the Account Executives as needed.
  • Using CRM tools to keep call information up-to-date.
  • Travel to client sites (as needed).
  • Community involvement.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-4 years inside/outside sales experience in the software/technical/web/marketing industry.
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and organized with proven lead generation and prospecting skills.
  • Proven record of creating new business leads and thoroughly understanding the sales process of localized marketing, cold calling, community involvement, prospecting, qualifying, presenting, closing and servicing.
  • Proven ability to create effective sales communications and presentations.
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written skills.
  • Experience working with and enhancing relationships with Director, as well as C-level positions.
  • Organizational skills on scheduling, daily tasks, client communications, etc.
  • Excellent writing skills in preparing potential strategic overviews and recommendations, proposals, as well as general communication with clients and staff.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and solution selling skills.
  • Consistent record of quota over-achievement.
  • Proven ability to sell and qualify over the phone, and in face-to-face opportunities – including closing opportunities.
  • Develop strategy and tactics for managing specific business sectors/territories and associated sales revenue in the territory.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Operation Systems, Microsoft Office tools, and CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of web services, development environments and/or interactive technologies.

System & Network Administrator

SYSTEM & NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

Description:

The Systems and Network Administrator will serve as a supporting role to the IT Director for network, server, and desktop support. The Systems and Network Administrator has the responsibility of supporting SilverTech's internal IT systems and network in conjunction with SilverTech's existing IT staff. The Systems and Network Administrator will also provide phone and email support to SilverTech's web, email, and DNS hosting clients. In addition, the Systems and Network Administrator would be responsible for supporting SilverTech's external IT Support clients on and off site at locations throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

This position will be responsible for:

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Follow standard help desk procedures
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates
  • Provide internal and external desktop support for Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 desktops and laptops
  • Provide internal and external server support on Windows 2000/2003/2008 Server and Linux server platforms
  • Provide internal and external support for network-based environments including Exchange 2000/2003/2007, DJBDNS DNS servers, VERITAS Backup Exec, Blackberry Enterprise Server, IIS 5.0 - 7.5, and SQL Server 2000 - 2008
  • Provide DNS, email (POP/SMTP/IMAP), and web hosting support to clients over the phone and/or via email
  • Configuration and installation of new servers and desktop/laptops for internal and external clients.
  • Management of VMWare ESX and ESXi servers
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in Computer Science / Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • In depth knowledge of desktop, laptop, and server hardware; general TCP/IP networking concepts; general email (POP/SMTP) concepts
  • 5+ years of experience with Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7 desktop operating systems
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/2008 Server installation, configuration, and administration
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 - 2010 installation, configuration, and administration
  • 5+ years of experience with Active Directory installation, configuration, and administration
  • Linux installation and administration
  • VOIP phone system administration
  • 5+ years of experience with networking devices such as routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team of IT system and network administrators.
  • Experience supporting external IT consulting clients in addition to supporting internal clients.

Account Executive

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Description:

The Account Executive (AE) has the responsibility of managing client projects and ongoing relationship. The Account Executive will maintain / grow the client relationships under the direction of the Director of Client Services. The Account Executive provides client and project team leadership, develops client relationships and is regarded by the client as a trusted advisor. In addition, the AE is responsible for client satisfaction, account revenue growth, and overall project profitability in services delivery.

This position will be responsible for:

  • Manage account relationship with assigned client organizations
  • Responsible for the success and satisfaction of the individual client relationships
  • Grows the client relationship in terms of revenue generated and account profitability
  • Develops position as confidante with contacts within client organization
  • Builds new relationships within client organization
  • Capable of selling the complete range of SilverTech services
  • Understands marketplace dynamics and key players
  • Proactively sells and manages customer expectations
  • Act as a liaison between the client organization and SilverTech production resources responsible for delivering the project successfully working with the ST PM
  • Ability to translate customer requests to the development and design teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of Account Management experience in Web Services, Internet Marketing or Advertising discipline
  • Knowledge of web services, development environments and/or interactive technologies
  • Experience working simultaneously with multiple complex projects and clients
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Motivated, self-starter
